Silentone Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 23, 2026

Silentone is free to download, with a one-time in-app purchase to unlock paid features.
There is no subscription or seven-day trial. Regular photography is free; three rescue saves
are available free in total.
1. Photos, permissions and advertising
- Photos, videos and rescue candidates are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
- Camera access enables capture. On iOS, photo access enables saving and the in-app album; declining photo reading does not prevent capture or saving. On Android, the app saves without any photo permission, and the in-app album shows only photos taken with this app.
- We do not request location, contacts or microphone permission, or collect GPS location. If you enable analytics, approximate location, such as country and city inferred from the IP address, is processed.
- There is no account or login. The app does not collect your name, email or phone number.
- We show no ads and do not use Google Ads. Analytics data is not used for ad targeting, remarketing or advertising conversion measurement. We do not collect IDFA or Android advertising IDs, or combine data with other companies' apps or websites to track you.
2. Optional analytics and crash diagnostics
Analytics and crash reporting are OFF by default. Firebase Analytics and Firebase
Crashlytics collection is enabled only after you opt in on first launch or in Settings.
Withdrawing consent stops subsequent collection; it does not automatically delete data already sent.
| Information | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device/app identifiers | Firebase app instance identifier | Usage analytics |
| Approximate location | IP-derived country and city | Usage analytics |
| Product interactions | App launches, screens, capture modes and resolution, rescue candidates, saves and cancellations, quota events, paywall views, stacking, Live Photos and shutter usage | Product improvement |
| Purchase history | Automatically collected in-app purchase events, product, value and currency | Purchase-flow analysis |
| Crash data | Stack traces, crash time and app state | Stability and troubleshooting |
| Other diagnostics | Device model, OS/app versions, installation and SDK diagnostics | App functionality and analytics |
Both iOS and Android use analytics and crash reporting. Photo contents, filenames and
payment-method details are not included. IDFV collection is also disabled on iOS.
Analytics can be linked to an app instance identifier, so it is not treated as fully anonymous.
The app does not set a Crashlytics user ID.
3. Payments and local storage
Apple App Store or Google Play handles payments and purchase restoration. We do not receive
card numbers or other payment-method details. Purchase entitlements are checked and cached
locally to enable paid features. Purchase analytics, if you opt in, is described in section 2.
Local data includes rescue candidates, preferences and consent choices, total free-save usage,
installation time and purchase state. Installation time measures time since installation; it
does not start a trial. Rescue candidates are managed with limits of 24 hours and 12 captures.
Photos saved to your photo library remain after uninstalling the app and can be deleted by you.
4. External processing and network access
| Processor | Information | Purpose and transfer |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase) | Analytics and diagnostics in section 2 | Network transmission after consent for analytics and troubleshooting; processing may take place in the US and other Google data-center countries |
| Apple Inc. / Google LLC | Store payment and restoration information | Payment and entitlement verification under the stores' own policies |
The app also contacts devryner's translation service to update translated text independently
of analytics consent. Network information needed to serve requests, such as the IP address,
may reach that service. Photos and videos are not transmitted.
We do not sell personal data or provide it to advertising businesses for advertising.

5. Retention, deletion and your rights
Analytics event data retention is set to 2 months and user data retention to 14 months.
The user-data retention period resets with new user activity. Aggregate reports may not be
affected by these periods. Crash reports follow Firebase Crashlytics' retention policy.
You can change analytics/diagnostics consent in Settings or contact us to request access,
correction or deletion. Without an account, we may need additional details to locate the relevant
data. Uninstalling does not delete information already transmitted to servers. App-local data
is removed on uninstall, subject to operating-system backup and restoration behavior.
6. Security, children and changes
Analytics and diagnostics are encrypted in transit. Advertising data use is disabled in the app;
we provide no photo/video upload function. The app is not directed to children under 14 and we
do not knowingly collect their personal information. Significant policy changes will be announced
in the public policy, app or store listing.
