Overview
CCBill is a macOS utility app that visualizes your Claude Code usage data stored locally on your Mac. This app is designed with privacy as a core principle — it operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Data Collection
CCBill does not collect any data. Specifically:
- No personal information is collected
- No usage analytics or crash reports are sent
- No network requests are made
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used
- No data is shared with third parties
Local Data Access
CCBill reads the following files stored locally on your Mac to display usage statistics:
| File | Purpose |
|---|---|
~/.claude/stats-cache.json |
Daily activity and token usage |
~/.claude.json |
Project cost and usage summary |
~/.claude.json.backup |
Backup snapshot for comparison |
~/.claude/history.jsonl |
Prompt history |
~/.claude/sessions/*.json |
Active session information |
~/.claude/projects/**/*.jsonl |
Per-request token and tool usage |
All data is read-only. CCBill never modifies, deletes, or writes to any of these files. File access requires explicit user permission through macOS native folder selection (NSOpenPanel), and access is persisted via security-scoped bookmarks.
Data Storage
CCBill stores only the following on your Mac:
- Security-scoped bookmarks: To remember your folder access permissions between app launches
- App preferences: Language setting and onboarding completion status (via UserDefaults)
No data is stored on external servers.
Third-Party Services
CCBill does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs.
Children's Privacy
CCBill does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
