Silentone Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 8, 2026
Silentone (the "app") is a camera app for places that have to stay quiet. This policy explains
what information the app does and does not handle.

1. Information we do not collect
The app does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- The photos and videos you capture, or their contents. Images the app creates are saved only to your device's photo library (Photos / MediaStore) and are never uploaded anywhere.
- Location data — the app does not request location permission.
- Contacts, call logs, messages, or calendar data.
- Audio or microphone input — the app does not request microphone permission. The paired video of a silent Live Photo contains no audio.
- Advertising identifiers — on Android, the ad-related permissions (
AD_ID,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION) are explicitly removed at build time; on iOS the app never calls App Tracking Transparency, so no IDFA exists in the first place. - Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or anything else that directly identifies you — the app has no concept of an account.
The app does not track you, and it never uses your information for advertising or marketing,
nor sells or shares it with third parties.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Anonymous usage statistics (optional — off by default)
Anonymous event counts, used to improve the app. This is off by default and is sent only if
you turn it on, either on the first-run notice screen or in Settings. If you do not turn it on,
not a single event is transmitted.
What is collected — the occurrence of the following events, plus the values listed beside
them. That is all.

These events contain no photo data, no image contents, no file names, no location, and no
identifiers of yours. As part of processing, Google Analytics for Firebase automatically
handles an app instance identifier and general technical information such as device model and
country.
- Purpose: to understand which features are actually used, so the product can be improved
- Legal basis: your prior consent
- Withdrawing consent: turn the PRIVACY toggle off in Settings; transmission stops immediately
2.2 Crash diagnostics (Android only, optional — same toggle)
The Android version may send crash diagnostics (where the failure occurred, device model, OS
version, and similar) to Firebase Crashlytics when the app terminates unexpectedly. This is
controlled by the same toggle as section 2.1. The iOS version does not include this feature.
2.3 Purchase information
Unlocking the paid features is handled by Google Play and the Apple App Store. The app never
receives, sees, or stores your payment details. It only receives "whether a purchase exists"
from the store and keeps that on your device.
3. Information kept only on your device
The following never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Permissions

The app does not request microphone permission.
5. Processors and international transfers
Only if you have consented, statistics and diagnostics are processed by the following provider,
which involves transfer outside your country.

Payments are processed by Google LLC (Google Play) and Apple Inc. (App Store) under their own
privacy policies.

We do not provide your information to third parties for any other purpose, and we never sell
any of it.
6. Retention and deletion

7. Your rights
- Withdraw consent: turn off the PRIVACY toggle in Settings and transmission stops immediately. You may turn it on and off at any time.
- Deletion: uninstalling the app deletes everything stored on your device.
- Access, correction, deletion requests: you may contact us at the address below. Note that the app has no accounts, so we hold nothing that identifies you as a particular user; we may need to ask for details in order to act on a request.
8. Children under 14
The app is not directed to children under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
9. Security measures
- Photos and videos are designed never to leave the device in the first place. No upload path exists.
- Statistics and diagnostics are encrypted in transit.
- No advertising or attribution SDKs are used, and advertising-identifier permissions are removed at build time.
